体育播报12月28日宣日前，曼城前锋哈兰德接受了《城市杂志》的专访，他谈及自己成为曼城队长经历、曼彻斯特的生活以及世界杯……等话题。

记者：你出生在利兹，是否在某种程度上觉得自己也是英国人？

哈兰德说：“是的，我签约曼城时就说过，我感觉有点像回到了家。我记得我当时这么说过。所以，是的，现在生活在英国，我确实有一种家的感觉。一切都很自然，因为我的家人在英格兰度过了一段非常美好的时光。”

“我妈妈很喜欢英格兰，她喜欢这里的传统和各种文化。我父母在我出生前以及我出生后，都在这里度过了很棒的时光，而现在，我自己也过得非常开心。”

记者：你有没有考虑过为英格兰队效力？

哈兰德说：“这从来都不是一个话题，因为当时我在挪威，而且也不可能拿到护照。现在我倒是可以申请护照了。我也很乐意拥有英国护照，但归根结底，为英格兰效力从来就不是一个讨论选项。”

对英格兰来说是遗憾，对挪威来说是幸运。尽管如今他的口音里多少带着一点曼彻斯特腔调，而且从法律意义上说他确实出生在英格兰，但哈兰德对自己的国家充满了自豪，哪怕他年幼的儿子同样是出生在英格兰的哈兰德。关于国籍的话题，也自然延伸到了英格兰人与挪威人之间的亲近感。

挪威是一个对英超极其狂热的国家，而这种联系可以追溯到更早以前。例如，曼城在上世纪70年代就已经拥有挪威球迷分会。任何一个周末，只要走进挪威的体育酒吧，你都会看到人们在巨大的屏幕前观看多场英超比赛，支持着不同的球队。

记者：为什么两国之间会有如此深厚的联系。

哈兰德说：“我觉得是因为地理上也很近，虽然不是邻国，但中间只隔着北海。所以一直都很亲近。比如从纽卡斯尔飞到我家乡，大概45分钟，和飞到奥斯陆差不多。从曼彻斯特到我家乡，也就一个小时左右。所以我觉得这是原因之一。另外，还有英超本身的因素，因为这个联赛一直都非常有竞争力。我想这也是重要原因。”

话音里再次带着那一点点曼彻斯特口音，也让人感受到，哈兰德在曼城的生活确实非常自在。他和曼城球迷之间的联系几乎无可比拟，球迷们爱他，而他也深受爱戴。但是否还有更深层的原因？

哈兰德说：“你知道吗，在我加盟曼城之前，我其实已经来过曼彻斯特好几次了。即便只是来看比赛，我也一直很喜欢英格兰。就像我说的，我觉得挪威人和英国人其实挺相似的，所以我一直很享受待在这里。而且我也说不清楚，就是那种氛围。我感觉很平静，很难解释为什么我喜欢这里。我觉得在很多方面，这里和挪威非常相似。”
